Music & Memories
The Music & Memories outreach series is a collaborative program established to bring the arts to seniors in the community and to help build a better awareness, education and appreciation for the arts in South Jersey.
We kicked off the 2019 Music & Memories series with the Soulful Sounds of Sinatra concert at Seashore Gardens Living Center on May 14. Headlining the concert was Steve Maglio, singing many of Sinatra's legendary hits. Next, we welcomed Dave Damiani and the No Vacancy Band performing Nat King Cole's timeless classics. In September, we will bring the Golden Era of Vaudeville to Seashore Gardens Living Center!
Our Big Band concert in 2018 featured the 16-piece Buddy Gale Band, under the direction of Dr. Louis Giunta, a retired music educator and school administrator. In July, we welcomed Dave Damiani &The No Vacancy Orchestra performing some of our favorite tunes from the Great American Songbook. We hosted Jazz in the Garden at Seashore Gardens Living Center on Sept. 6 featuring the Teddy Royal Band and guest singer Miss Pat Tandy. The Schultz-Hill Foundation was happy to partner with the Milton & Betty Katz Jewish Community Center for the Music and Memories Series. Sponsors of the concert included The Forza Insurance Group, the Hordes Family and OceanFirst Bank.
